Since I started blogging in 2017, it’s provided a great source of inspiration for my writing. I’ve been able to pursue my passion for comics, while also improving my skills in other areas, such as journalism by interviewing various people. I’ve also been able to gain a readership that continually blows me away by returning to The Comic Vault and checking out what I have to say. I’m happy to say I’ve reached another milestone of 1000 followers and it’s reminded me how much effort other writers put in to become successful. I wanted to include a brief list of some of my favourite writers in comics and why you should look into them.
Ever since I started The Comic Vault, I’ve been consistently blown away by the amount of people who’ve come back to read my articles and given me a reason to indulge my inner geek. Each time I’ve reached a new milestone it’s been something that’s kept me motivate and I’m happy to say I’ve hit another goal of 900 followers. For people who’ve been reading the website for a while you’ll have noticed I like to connect comics and mental health together. As it feels like I’m running out of ways to say thank you, I figured I’d take the opportunity to shine a light on bloggers who promote mental health.
Writing about comics has helped me to express a passion of mine and share it with others. Being recognised for my words is always appreciated, which is why I was thrilled to be nominated for a second Real Neat Blogger Award by Soulcial Dreamin’ Entertainment. The team work very hard to produce some awesome pop culture content, so thanks for the nomination and be sure to check out their website as well.
I’ve recently hit 300 followers and as grateful as I am, I wanted to do more than just say thank you. I want to share as much as I’m able with my readers because they inspire me to keep doing what I’m doing. Two months ago I admitted that I’ve suffered from anxiety for years and it’s affected a lot of my relationships. I wanted to give you an update on how I’m feeling.
Just over two weeks ago I started this blog and the reception has been unlike anything I imagined. I’ve hit 100 followers and been nominated for two blogging awards. To thank everyone for the support I’ve decided to share something deeply personal about myself as a way of really understanding me. I’ve suffered from anxiety and low self-esteem for the past ten years or so. It’s made it hard for me to meet new people, believe in myself and to form a lasting relationship with someone.
