Comic Kitchen highlights the eating habits of different superheroes and tells their story through the medium of food. There’s something powerful about eating food that makes you feel closer to your heritage. For Rose Wilson, heritage is an integral part of her identity. As the daughter of Deathstroke, Ravager has needed to find a way to step out of her father’s shadow and forge her own legacy.

It puts the spotlight on Deathstroke and his family, giving the reader an insight into the life of the complex mercenary. Written by Christopher Priest, The Gospel of Slade strips Deathstroke down to his core and asks the question of whether he’s a necessary evil. In the world of comics, there are various assassins. They are the people who can be hired to do the impossible, to kill any target, providing the money is good enough. In my opinion, the greatest assassin in comics is Deathstroke The Terminator. Slade Wilson has been an enemy to every major hero in the DC universe and he’s developed an infamous reputation. But what makes him so effective at what he does, and is there more to this killer than collecting on another pay day?

How Ravager Forged Her Own Path

“Whatever people want to think of me, they can go ahead and think it. Deathstroke’s daughter. Teen Titan. Hero. Villain. Loyal. Brave. Crazy. Conniving. Broken. What matters is the choices I make and whether or not I can live with them.”

With well known characters like Batman and Superman, it’s fair to assume they will have a fair share of legacy characters surrounding them. Bruce has his Robins and Clark has Supergirl and Superboy. But what about a villain like Deathstroke? Slade Wilson has a reputation for being the greatest assassin in the DC Universe. But his children are very different. Rose Wilson, AKA Ravager, chose to be a hero and here is why she’s an awesome character.
