Comic cons are a great way to meet like-minded people and cosplaying helps to express your love of a particular character. Some people make their costumes from scratch, while others buy their supplies. If you’re like me and can’t sow or modify clothes to save your own life, then buying is a good alternative. There’s lots of designers who specialise in creating cosplay gear. One of the best is US based God Of Props, who creates cosplay masks and helmets. I bought a Red Hood helmet and here is my review.

In my experience, guest posts are a great way to build up your writing reputation, make new connections and step outside your comfort zone. Through it, I was able to find a local photographer called Priya, who was happy to to be involved. Here’s what happened when the Red Hood went out into Manchester.
I’ve been on a mission to hear from other cosplayers and help them gain some recognition for their awesome designs. My first cosplayer interview is with the talented Kseniya, also known as Kamiko Zero. Kseniya was kind enough to shed some light on the kind of cosplaying she does and offers helpful advice on anyone who’s thinking about getting into cosplay.
One of the biggest issues in the world today is mental health. Many people are still afraid to discuss their battles with depression, anxiety and other disorders. Among men in particular, there’s a stigma attached to it, as we don’t want to be perceived as being ‘weak.’ As someone who’s suffered from depression and anxiety, I can admit I used to find it very difficult to talk about what I’ve experienced. But that’s changed.
An outlet that’s helped me is comics and cosplay. Dressing up has allowed me to be part of a supportive community who are up for a laugh and it’s made me think of the positive mental health benefits of cosplaying. Continue reading “The Positive Effects Cosplay Has On Mental Health”
