Veregge has created art for Marvel, Valiant and IDW, injecting his unique flair into comic covers. Beneath The Pages looks at writers and artists in the comic industry who have made it what it is today. Judd Winick is a writer that’s stood out to me for a number of years. He’s handled many of DC’s main characters such as Green Lantern and Green Arrow, giving them mature storylines to feature in. Winick is also known for his autobiography that chronicles his friendship with AIDS educator, Pedro Zamora.
With this edition of Beneath The Pages, I wanted to focus on a comic cover artist. Sometimes, it can be easy to overlook a cover when there are so many different comics to choose from. Yet when fans are browsing, it’s the first thing they see. A cover artist who’s caught my attention is French illustrator, Stephanie Hans. She’s drawn covers for Marvel and DC. Here is what makes her so talented at what she does.

Today, the focus will be on artist Dexter Soy, who’s doing impressive work on the Red Hood And The Outlaws Rebirth series.

Chris Claremont is one of the most famous names in comics, having created many Marvel characters such as Jubilee, Mystique, Emma Frost and Gambit. His writing with X-Men has cemented his legacy as one of the all time greats.
