About

Welcome to The Comic Vault, a place for all things geeky and comic related. Think of it as an online Bat Cave, with none of the technology and none of the secrecy. But you will find a man dedicated to a tireless crusade of bringing reviews, observations and underrepresented characters into the spotlight.

Jamie Ryder. 24. Englishman. DC, Marvel and WWE fanboy.

When I’m not geeking out over comics you’ll find me walking the streets of Manchester, England with a novel in hand. I also moonlight as a short story writer and poet, with my stories having been published by New Realm Magazine, Fireborn Publishing, EastLit Magazine and shortstorysunday.com

  1. Hi Jamie–That picture above–wow. I’m so jealous you got to meet a falcon close up! Welcome aboard eve’s apple, and cheers…Marisa (mcproco.wordpress.com)

  2. Hi Jamie. Thanks for following me. I’ll look forward to reading your short stories – as well as some of the geeky and comic things on your blog. Love the photo, by the way. It’s a beautiful eagle. 🙂

      1. Thanks for that, Jamie. I love birds of prey but rarely get round to visiting falconry centres. I’ve done some research on the different types used for hunting in the past, purely for my books. But Razor is a beauty!

  3. Hi Jamie, thanks for deciding to follow me. I’m not sure how you found my blog, but I do appreciate the follow 🙂 I’ve just read your story, “Bluebirds,” and thoroughly enjoyed it. There is nothing nicer than a good love story. LOL sorry, I’m a hopeless romantic. One of my favourite TV series is, “As Time Goes By.”
I hope you will let us read more stories here on your blog.

    1. Hi Lyn, thanks for checking it. I came across your blog while looking for interesting writing related websites. 🙂 Glad you enjoyed Bluebirds. It was really fun to write and my first published short story. Look out for some short fiction coming to the blog soon.
